To the Oak Park Village Board of Trustees:

The question of eliminating single-family zoning in Oak Park is a serious one that would affect many citizens very personally. We remember from recent past experience that the board has not always listened to its constituents. Remember the leaf-bagging debacle? We do, and not fondly. That is why we are urging you to send the question of eliminating single-family zoning to a binding referendum vote in the November mid-term election. We would then have a lively debate with questions and answers before the vote. And the voters would be heard.
