Robert E. Marsh Sr., 87, of LaGrange Park, formerly of Oak Park and Marshfield, Wisconsin, died on April 7, 2026. An Army veteran, he worked as an administrator for the federal government.
Robert was the husband of Kathryn Marsh (nee Wiedow); the father of Robert (Michele) Marsh Jr., Alicia (Michael) Austin and William (Elizabeth) Marsh; the brother of David (Pamela) Marsh and the late James (Beverly) Marsh; grandfather of Kaitlyn, Anne, Joseph, Mackenzie and Grace Marsh, T.J. and Michael Austin, and Liam, Abby and Camden Marsh; and the brother-in-law and uncle of many family members, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his eldest grandson, Robert Edward Marsh III.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9445 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass, 10:30 A.M., at Ascension Catholic Church, 808 S. East Ave., Oak Park. Interment private.
