Oak Parker Emery Lehman earned a silver medal at the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan, as the U.S. Men’s Speed Skating reached the Olympic final in the team pursuit before losing out to Italy.

The American team of Lehman, Casey Dawson and Ethan Cepuran, a Glen Ellyn native, finished 4.51 seconds behind the hosts, who won their first gold medal in the event since the last Italian-hosted Winter Olympics in 2006. Lehman and the U.S. men had taken home bronze in 2022’s Olympics in Beijing, which was the U.S.’ first medal in the event since 2010.

China won the bronze medal over the Netherlands, beating them by a narrow 0.09 seconds in their playoff.

The United States entered the Olympics riding a six-race undefeated run on the international stage and had won gold at the 2025 World Championships, according to NBC Sports.

Lehman, an Oak Park and River Forest High School graduate, appeared in his fourth Olympic games this year.
