A Northwest Indiana woman was arrested for driving under the influence and child endangerment after a traffic accident in Oak Park on Christmas Eve.
Oak Park police stopped the 24-year-old from Munster, IN in the 300 block of North Oak Park Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. on Dec. 24 after a witness identified her as the driver of a vehicle involved in a traffic accident. The arresting officer noted that the woman smelled strongly of alcohol, according to a police activity report.
The woman reportedly refused to take a field sobriety test and was arrested at the scene, according to police. She was charged with driving under the influence and two counts of child endangerment, according to police.
Aggravated assault on OPPD officers
A Chicago woman is facing several felony charges after an alleged attack on two Oak Park police officers.
The 44-year-old was arrested shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 and charged with two counts of battery, two counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to police.
She was processed and held for bond hearings, according to police.
Domestic Battery arrest
An Oak Park woman was arrested in the early morning hours of Dec. 27 on charges of domestic battery.
The 41-year-old was also charged with resisting arrest. She was processed and held for bond hearings, according to police.
