Pat Davis, 83, a longtime Oak Park resident, died at home on Dec. 27, 2025, surrounded by family who will miss her dearly. She loved family, people and life. She lived a life filled with love, compassion and generosity.
Born in 1942 in Chicago, she had a lifelong passion for all things Chicagoan. She moved to Oak Park in 1969, with her husband James, where they raised their two sons, Jim and Rich. When daughters-in-law Irena and Lisa joined the family, she loved them just as much and adored her two grandchildren, Valentina and Fia. She loved having her family together.
She also had many lifelong friendships around the world, friends she made along the way. She found the time to keep in touch with them, her neighbors and the many people she touched over the years. She dearly missed her late brothers, Ed, Ernie and Wally and kept in touch with many of their children.
Her cat Griz, and dog Bear, held a special place in her heart.
She embraced all life had to offer and had an adventurous spirit. There were many family camping trips when her sons were younger, then later trips out west to the Calgary Stampede and the mountains, trips on the east coast to the ocean, and even a ride on a Harley in her later years.
Visitation was held on Jan. 3 at Salerno’s Galewood Chapel with a eulogy, sharing of memories, and a luncheon.
