Just a note to say how much I enjoyed Ken Trainor’s column about God who may or may not exist. Ken, you have outdone yourself with this column! The e.e. cummings prayer-poem was a lovely touch as well.

Let me explain:

I made the mistake of reading the front section of the Trib today, something I usually avoid. I was busy yelling at the paper when I put it down and picked up the December 10 issue of Wednesday Journal. I read the front-page article about Housing Forward getting screwed over by the immoral crooks in Washington and started yelling at the Journal. As I flipped through looking for some glimmer of hope, some bright spot in the muck, there was Ken’s column. I got about two lines in and started to smile, which was followed shortly by chuckling and more smiles, nodding in agreement. By the time I got to the 2001: A Space Odyssey reference, I broke out in an honest-to-goodness belly laugh. The e.e cummings poem was the perfect ending.

Thanks, Ken. You have a way with words and you made my day a little brighter. God knows (who may or may not exist) we could all use a bit of brightening up.
