The Oak Park Farmers Market will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from May 18 to Oct. 26 at the Pilgrim Congregational Church parking lot located at 460 Lake St.

“Since 1976, the Oak Park Farmers Market in Illinois has provided access to healthy, locally grown food & other products in a community setting, while celebrating social connections & building cooperation between urban & rural,” according to the market Facebook page.

The vendor application for the 2024 market is closed. 2024 vendors include:

Free parking is available during market hours, according to the Facebook page.  

Local non-profit organizations can arrange to have a bake sale for fundraising purposes, according to the village website. Bake sale applications are due May 1. There are regulations for bake sales, including what items can be sold, packaging, labeling and sanitation requirements. These can all be found online.

This is the 49th season of the Oak Park Farmers Market, according to Dan Yopchick, the village’s chief communications officer. “Go Green Days,” which highlight sustainability efforts, are scheduled for the opening day on May 18 and the following week, on May 25.

“Stone Soup” day, which features free soup from farmers’ donations, will be on the last day of the market on Oct. 26. The “Corn Roast,” where locals can try fresh-roasted corn, will be Aug. 10 and the pie bake-off will be Sept. 7.

According to the Facebook page, Pilgrim Congregational Church is also looking for groups to partner with the church to make donuts at this summer’s market.
