Mary Lynn Mullins

Mary Lynn Mullins, 91, died on Sept. 28, 2021. Born on Oct. 7, 1929, she was the only daughter of Cleo Francis and Ray Linn McMurray.

She met her first husband, Eddie, when she was 9 years old in the small farming community where she was born in central Illinois. They said their 4 daughters were the twinkle in their eyes. It is said that the size of your heart is measured by the love you share. She had a huge heart, not just seeing the best in her family and friends, but in all of God’s creations.

A wife, mother, leader and mentor, her love of design, entrepreneurial spirit and outgoing personality led her to a career in real estate that spanned over 30 years. She owned and managed Landmark Heritage Realty in Oak Park, serving many surrounding communities.

After her retirement, she helped care for her grandchildren and mother, tucking away precious memories. In her early 80s she married Lorrin Eugene Mullins and they shared 10 wonderful years together until his passing last year.

Mary Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Edmond Carl Thum. She will be deeply missed by her four daughters, Lori, Arli, Regi and Juli, along with their spouses, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

You are always in our hearts, Mom.
