Martha L. “Marty” Lubben, 88, a longtime resident of Oak Park, died peacefully on Sept. 23, 2020 at Loyola Medical Center. Born on July 11, 1932, she was the owner of The Pour House in Berwyn for many years along with her husband (the late) John H. Lubben. An avid bowler for many, many years, she was a hospital volunteer at Oak Park Hospital and member of several senior card and bingo clubs. She also enjoyed spending time with her large extended family and especially loved playing cards and games with her grandchildren/great-grandchildren and did not ever let them win! She was a 50-plus-year member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Oak Park.
Marty married John H. Lubben in May, 1953. Together, they had three children. Michael, Lucy (Steve) and (the late) John E. Lubben. She was the grandmother of 10 (Steven, Michael, Kristin, Joshua, Ryan, Lauren, Tim, Jamey, Nicole, and Jaymee), great grandmother of 10 (Marie, Ivan, Jack, Will, Nicole, Anna, Camden, Emmie, Landon and Gage), sister of (the late) Edward, William and Samuel, and the aunt of many.
