I wanted to tell Journal readers how much I appreciate reading the weekly commentary by Michael Romain. His column “A con as old as Jim Crow and older” in the Aug. 26 issue was an enlightening wake-up call about the illegalities surrounding voting that have occurred and may continue to occur without voter vigilance. Romain is justifiably outraged, and we all should be. Our democracy is truly at stake.
