Dr. Deneita (DeeDee) Farmer, 65, died on Oct. 7, 2016. She was a champion of early child education and an extraordinary teacher who had a long-lasting impact on both children and their families. Oak Park parents, students, and administrators will gather to remember the extraordinary contributions of “Ms. DeeDee” on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Percy Julian Auditorium, 416 S. Ridgeland Ave. in Oak Park.
