Orangetheory Fitness is a group -personal training workout that uses interval cardiovascular and strength training. The state of the art heart-rate-monitored training is designed to maintain a targeted zone, (a.k.a. the “orange zone”) stimulating metabolism and increasing energy – ensuring maximal efficiency of the workout, boosting cardiovascular benefit and burn fat for up to 36 hours after the workout. Owned and operated by Adryenne Hearne-Alvarez and her brother, Dereck Hearne, the new Oak Park studio, located at 7121 W North Ave., celebrated it’s grand opening in May, become the newest part of the fitness community in Oak Park. 

“We chose Oak Park as our first location because there is a real sense of community and locals are proud of their favorite Oak Park establishments. We are excited to bring the residents a new fitness experience.”  

Orangetheory was started in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, by physiologist Ellen Latham, M.S., in 2010, who designed “The Ultimate Workout,” which became the foundation for Orangetheory Fitness—hailed by the New York Times as “The Best One-Hour Workout in the Country.”  They offer a different plateau-busting workout every time to ensure variety and challenge. Each session is lead by an Orangetheory Fitness certified personal trainer.
