Maywood, IL – West Suburban PADS announced today the launch of an Associate Board, comprised of an innovative group of young professionals who are committed to furthering the friend-raising and fundraising efforts of West Suburban PADS.
The Associate Board’s first project was to design a “friend-raising and fund-raising” event that would appeal to young professionals and West Suburban PADS’ 5,000-strong support base. The result: “The Amazing Raise. A scavenger hunt to end homelessness.” The event will take place Saturday, October 18 from 3 to 7 p.m., beginning and ending at Moe’s Cantina (155 W. Kinzie St., Chicago).
“The launch of the Associate Board is an exciting step for West Suburban PADS, and will be an important part of our strategy to engage more people in our mission to end homelessness,” said Executive Director Lynda Schueler. “The members of the Associate Board have made an impressive commitment to solving homelessness. We look forward to a year of new connections and new opportunities.”
