When my son was 3, Go Dog Go was his favorite. We went through months where this wonderful book by P.D. Eastman had to be read numerous times each night before bed.
I can’t think of a better family excuse to support local theater than to see this book in live action! I can’t wait.
Magic Tree Bookstore is helping to support Open Door Repertory Theater too. If you purchase a copy of the book Go Dog Go while attending the production, a portion of that sale goes right back to Open Door, allowing them to “continue adding more children’s productions to their repetoire.”
If you don’t own the book already, you’ll want a copy for your kids.
It’s a perfect grouping of kid fun, community support and local shopping. It just doesn’t get much better than that for this Oak Park mom.
Check out this short video from the Village of Oak Park. And go see the production this weekend. Say hi to my family too, we’ll be sitting up front.
