Nellie Kamenitsa-Hale broke open a close game in the Chicago Metro ASA Championship bracket play with a grand slam and the Windmills 10U never looked back.

Angela Zedak pitched a great game to win over Team Oak Stars in the finals and Katherine Karnatz pitched a no-hit perfect game in the semi-finals of the Chicago Metro ASA(American Softball Association) State Championships.

Kaitlyn Scheitler and Taylor Divello notched home runs for the Windmills during the tournament as well. Cassie Lindmark and Mary Jones led the Windmills with great defense. 

This marks the first ASA State Championship for the Windmills Organization at the 10U level in seven years.  The Windmills 10U team has won 10 tournaments this year and will be playing in the USSSA World Series in Orlando, Fla.
