In honor of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, the Library and Historical Society of Oak Park & River Forest welcomed historian/actress Lynn Rymarz as she brought to life the adventure-filled life of Mrs. Margaret Brown.

She covered her life’s journey from Hannibal, Missouri, to working in a tobacco factory to Leadville, Colorado, where she married the man of her dreams. The newly minted Mrs. Brown literally struck gold when her husband hit pay dirt in the mines. Her life took off, filled with adventures, travel and ultimately her survival on the Titanic.
