The Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association celebrated its 15 annual OPAL Gala on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Nineteenth Century Club in Oak Park. Dinner was catered by TwoMayToz Catering. OPALGA Co-Chairs Dr. Cheryl Haugh and Greg Raub recognized OPAL Award winners Susan Anderson (posthumous), presented by Dan Logan; the OPALGA Restructuring Task Force, presented by Nancy Johnson; Beneficiary Organizations and Key Advocates for the Illinois Civil Unions Bill. A Live Auction was lead by Val Camiletti, followed by a silent auction and dancing. Wednesday Journal and OakPark.com was a media sponsor of the event.
