An article in your Oct. 5 issue tells of interior upgrades to the Forest Preserve District Headquarters in River Forest. How about introducing a community garden in the northwest corner of that property at Bonnie Brae and Quick? Each summer it becomes a large weed patch which is possibly showering the neighborhood with allergens. It would seem to be a perfect spot for apartment/condo-dwelling garden lovers to have a space in which to grow vegetables and flowers.
