On behalf of the board and staff of the Oak Park Regional Housing Center, I wish to thank the community for your wonderful support at our 2012 Annual Benefit, held at Unity Temple on Oct. 6. It was a fitting occasion to honor two tremendous Oak Parkers — Sandra Sokol and Mary Jo Schuler — for their contributions to Oak Park’s diversity and prosperity.
Special thanks to the Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation for providing us with such a wonderful space to celebrate, and the Unity Temple Restoration Fund for leading a tour of the sanctuary. We appreciate the widespread support of the Housing Center and our mission to achieve meaningful and lasting racial diversity in Oak Park and the region.
