On behalf of the businesses and residents of the Southtown business district, I would like to thank all who participated in our Family Fun Festival on Saturday, Oct. 1.
Sustainable momentum depends on cooperation and collaboration, and we had exactly that from Oak Park Village Hall, our business owners and organizations. Throughout the day, attendees consistently thanked merchants for participating and for working to bring more attention to Southtown. In addition, our merchants were grateful for the increased traffic to our area.
Southtown is home to dozens of valuable, locally owned businesses in our district who serve our residents and keep our dollars in the local economy.
I would like to personally thank Loretta Daly and Theresa Powell from village hall for their support, as well as Lillian Vail (Unique Boutique at the Oak Park Women’s Exchange), Deza Pascual (YovaShop), Lydia Villanueva Soto (Tan Travel) and Bill David (Sign Express) for their generosity.
