Four Oak Park kids participated in Oak Park Arts District’s Summer Art Camp Intensive Photography Class, producing an impressive collection of work. The camp, held at Creative Changes, was taught by Cristopher Wallace and Terry Mueller from July 11 to July 15.
Mueller and Wallace designed the class to teach a vast array of photography skills in an intensive three-day course, providing hands-on experience in taking the pictures, printing, and preparing for a gallery setting.
“The class was designed to teach kids not only how to shoot great pictures,” explained the press release, “but included the experience of putting together a show featuring their work.”
Concluding on Friday, July 15, the students put on a show in order to showcase their work from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Oak Parkers participating in the class were Ella Kraus-McLean (age 8), Liv Conmy (age 10), Abraham Berlin (age 11) and Kobi Schindler (age 13).
All images shown above are as the kids shot them, basically un-cropped and unedited.
