Patrick James Callahan, 63, of La Grange, formerly of Oak Park, died on Jan. 18, 2011. Born on St. Patrick’s Day, 1947, he was an attorney, a U.S. Army veteran who graduated from Ascension School, Fenwick High School, Loyola University and DePaul University School of Law.
Patrick Callahan is survived by his children, Ashley, Rory and Michael Callahan; his siblings, Patricia (the late John) Collins, Michael (Ann), Daniel (Betty), Helen, Kathleen (Terrence) O’Brien, Geri (Michael) Rice, and Thomas (the late Viola) Callahan; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Helen Callahan, and his sister, Mary (the late Edwin) Ziebell.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 24 at St. Giles, 1045 Columbian Ave. in Oak Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials to St. Giles are appreciated.
