The Chicago Catholic League announced last week that the Prep Bowl Championship will be played at Toyota Park in Bridgeview on Nov. 19.

The Prep Bowl Playoffs began in 1934 as a means to assist needy families during the Thanksgiving holiday. The game for years was played at Soldier Field.

“The Chicago Catholic League has been dedicated to the advancement of Catholic education, sportsmanship and athletic achievement for almost 100 years,” said Mike Curtin, president of the league and athletic director at Fenwick High School. “We are pleased that we will play our 2010 Catholic League Prep Bowl Playoff Championship at the beautiful Toyota Park. As part of this championship evening, we are inviting all former Catholic League football alumni to a reception that evening in the Stadium Club of Toyota Park as we salute our heritage as well as our current student-athletes.”

Tickets for the playoff games and the alumni reception will be available at the participating league schools as well as at the gate the night of the title game.
