The Dist. 97 Board of Education approved the implementation of its first-year technology plan on April 27. The total revised cost of the plan – which calls for such things as new computers and equipment in every classroom – is $4 million.

The plan will be implemented over five years, starting with the 2010-2011 school year. The board last Tuesday approved the first-year implementation for a cost of roughly $850,000.
