Oak Parker and pugilist Samantha Guzman was recently featured in the United Airlines Hemispheres Magazine. Guzman and three other female boxers from Chicago will vie for a chance to win the first ever gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. Back in August, the International Olympic Committee announced that women’s boxing will be included in the Games.
Guzman’s career record is 21-5, earning her the title of Illinois State U.S. Champion and a national ranking in the light flyweight division.
