Friday, Oct. 10: After a quarter century without a haunted house, Forest Park is-as of Friday night-scoring a spooky compound once again. And the frightful complex at 7501 Harrison St. will be one of the Chicago area’s biggest.

Murder Mansion, an artsy indoor and outdoor spookfest, is the creation of Michael-Colin Reed, founder and artistic director of Oak Park’s Village Players Theater for Youth. Choreography of the haunted fun is a cooperative effort among Village Players Performing Arts Center, the Park District of Forest Park and Darkhouse Entertainment.

The first night of fright is Friday, Oct. 10, from 7 to 11 p.m. Haunts will continue Thursdays through Sundays until Nov. 1.

Daring souls can enter for $10; $8 for 65 and older, 18 and younger and for members of the armed forces. 369-4225, www.pdofp.org.
