The Oak Park Development Corporation will continue to occupy its 700-square-foot space at US Bank, 104 N. Oak Park Ave., rent-free.
A handshake agreement has held the space for OPDC for 27 years, said John Eckenroad, OPDC president. Someone at the bank wanted to formalize the agreement, he said.
“If it helps the bank, we’re happy to do it,” Eckenroad said.
The agreement, yet unwritten, will not likely estimate a value of the rent were it not gratis, he said.
