I felt like I was looking in a mirror as I was reading [What if we were conservative and progressive? Ken Trainor, Viewpoints, Jan. 8]. You gave me new words, a clear description of how I think. In my case, that means adhering to classic, historic Christian grounding while also venturing forward in a more progressive way. Not God-in-a-box thinking, but rather a living God, always out ahead, whom we are called to follow even into surprising and sometimes challenging, uncomfortable paths.
