Edward Wackrow, 69, a lifelong Oak Park resident and longtime Ascension parishioner, died on Sept. 28, 2024. He was the son of longtime parishioner Marie Wackrow. Ed graduated from Ascension School, Quigley North High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Quincy College. A funeral service will be held at Ascension Church, East Avenue and Van Buren Street, on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m.
