Tom Lee (Scotty) Robertson Brown, 92, of Naples, Florida (formerly of River Forest), died on Nov. 14, 2023, in Naples, Florida. Born in Chicago to Dorothy Brown (nee Robertson) and Tom Lee Brown on April 9, 1931. His family later moved to Honey Creek, Wisconsin where he attended Burlington High School. He later attended Fountain Valley Prep School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated from Colgate University.

After college, he joined the Navy and trained as a pilot, a passion he pursued his entire life. He trained in Pensacola, Florida and was also stationed in Hutchinson, Kansas. On Dec. 28, 1954, he married Gail Drechsler in Oak Park.

Following his time with the Navy, he joined his wife’s family’s business, Drechsler Funeral Home, eventually taking over the business, which became Drechsler-Brown Funeral Home.

While a resident of River Forest, he was involved in the Oak Park Rotary Club and the Oak Park YMCA. He was also an active member of the Naperville Flying Club until he moved to Florida.

After the death of his wife, Gail, he traveled extensively, visiting family and friends and enjoyed flying his twin engine airplane. In 2006, he married Sue Infantine, in Naples, Florida.

Scotty is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Dorothy Brown; his wife, Gail; his siblings, Margaret Cowen, John R. Brown and Janet Wood.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Infantine, of Naples, Florida; his children, Tom Alexander (Jan), John Frederick (Jodie), and Dorothy Mae Loomis (David); his grandchildren, Emily Spear (John), Taylor Walker (Cory), Hannah Loomis and Nicole Allison; his great-grandchildren, Keagen Allison, Zelie Spear and Peter Spear; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. He is also survived by stepchildren William Infantine, Susan Infantine; and step-grandchildren Lauren Infantine, Madison Infantine, Zachary Smith and Ian Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Oak Park YMCA.
