Steven Pasko, 51, of Forest Park, died on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021. Born in Berwyn on June 4, 1970. He attended school in LaGrange and Westmont and received his bachelor’s degree from SIU. He married his wife on May 10, 2008 and worked for many years in various business operations management positions. He was known for providing training and guidance to newer staff. A lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, he celebrated their successes and felt their losses. He was a fan of the Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks and played in many pool and dart leagues over the years. He was always up for a good game. As an avid lover of many kinds of music, he enjoyed numerous concerts, always had something playing, and enjoyed reading and guitar. In his younger years, he played basketball. More recently, he liked riding his bike and would regularly go out for 10 or more miles on the Prairie Path when the weather was good. In the last few years, he spent time volunteering at Animal Care League in Oak Park mostly walking and playing with dogs who were in the shelter.
Steve is survived by his wife, brother, sister-in-law, two nieces, a nephew, many good friends and one of his dogs. He was predeceased by both his parents and his other two dogs.
There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Lathrop House Café (26 Lathrop Ave., Forest Park 60130) from 4 to 6 p.m. If you wish to make a donation in his honor, please do so to Animal Care League in Oak Park (http://www.animalcareleague.org/).
His family would like to thank everyone who loved and supported Steve over the years. He was greatly loved and is missed.
