Tony Abboreno’s American Culture Art Show

See the Oak Park artist’s acrylics on canvas and watercolors where he paints “images of iconic figures of a contemporary world to bring the viewer a different, beautiful view of the ordinary.” During Abboreno’s career as an educator, he worked with Keith Haring on a Chicago Public Schools mural project. “Haring’s hip-hop, hardedge and graffiti art melded into my interpretation of art,” he said. 123 Madison St., Oak Park.
