District 97 communications director Chris Jasculca will resign in August, officials say. | District 97

Chris Jasculca, Oak Park Elementary School District 97’s senior director of policy, planning and communication, has resigned to take the communications director position at Hinsdale Township High School District 86, according to a statement released by District 97 officials on July 26.

Jasculca’s last day is Aug. 6. The D97 board is expected to accept Jasculca’s resignation during their regular meeting on Aug. 13, officials said, adding that a search for his successor will begin immediately.

In the meantime, Amanda Siegfried, D97’s digital communications coordinator, will take over day-to-day communications responsibilities during the search for Jasculca’s replacement.

“Chris Jasculca has been an incredible leader and valued member of the District 97 administrative team for the past 10 years,” stated District 97 Superintendent Carol Kelley in the press release.

“He has provided invaluable support and expertise to his colleagues while working tirelessly to share our successes, advocate for our vision, and build positive relationships in our schools, district and community,” she said. “I want to thank Chris for his many years of dedicated service, and wish him the best as he begins his new role in District 86.”

In the district’s statement, Jasculca praised District 97 and his time in Oak Park during the 10 years he’s been in his position.

“During my time here, I have witnessed countless examples of how deeply this community believes in education, values our schools and cares for our children,” he said. “I have marveled at the amazing work and tireless dedication of our faculty and staff. I have also watched our students accomplish amazing things both in and out of the classroom.”
