Cheryl Corbin Tartakoff, 73, a former resident of Oak Park, died on Sept. 7, 2017 in Falmouth, Massachusetts where she currently resided. She held M.A. degrees from the Teachers College of Columbia University and the University of Wisconsin Madison. She was a research dietician at Rockefeller University, director of the MD/PhD program at Case Western University, and the editor at the American Dietetic Association. An avid singer, both solo and choral, in New York, Cleveland, and Oak Park, she was also a volunteer at the Oak Park Conservatory, and a devoted gardener.
Cheryl Tartakoff is survived by David Tartakoff, her husband of 27 years; her daughter, Ann Tartakoff; her brother, Thomas Corbin; and her nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will take place at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Oak Park on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m.
