Mildred Helen Vieweg, 94, of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Oak Park, died on June 22, 2017. Born on March 3, 1923 in Ohio, she retired as an administrative assistant. A member of First United Methodist Church, she was an accomplished musician with a powerful singing voice and previously served as choir director. She had an interest in trying various activities and enjoyed doing ceramics and traveling with relatives and friends.
Mildred is survived by her nieces; cousins; and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy James Vieweg, and her brother, William Ernest Vieweg Jr. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A graveside service was conducted on June 24 at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, Rev. Howard Bowles officiating. The Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home helped with arrangements.
