Christopher G. Markey, 65, a longtime resident of Oak Park and River Forest, died on June 19, 2016. Born on July 29, 1950, he is survived by his wife, Peggy (nee Morrissey); his children, Thomas and Patrick; siblings, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Markey and Jennifer (Michael) Thomas; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Honorable Howard T. and Elizabeth (nee Pelletier).
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St. in Oak Park. Friends and family are asked to meet at Ascension Church, 808 S. East Ave. in Oak Park on Thursday, June 23 for a memorial Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
