Browse virtual book displays, search the catalog, download or stream media, register for exciting programs and much more.
Discover a patron-friendly experience, with improved navigation and functionality throughout. We worked to streamline and simplify the site so you can quickly access the information and resources you use most. And, the attractive design incorporates the RFPL’s whimsical branding.
The new site utilizes responsive design for increased ease of use with mobile phones and tablets. Find quick access to the library catalog, patron account sign in, events calendar, and the digital library. A drop-down “How Do I?” menu provides answers to the most frequently asked questions. Each department has a custom page highlighting featured programs and services, virtual book displays of new materials, and useful links.
Public information, including budget documents, policies, Library Board of Trustee meeting minutes, and other documents are made easily available to everyone in order to promote transparency. The site is designed to be more accessible for users, including those who use screen readers. On the back end, the new, modern site allows better integration with other online services and will be more efficient for staff to maintain. A staff committee developed the content for the new site and provided design insights to New Nine Media, the website development firm.
“Visit a Comfortable Space” is a key goal in RFPL’s Strategic Plan. We want our virtual space to be as welcoming and easy to use as our beloved building. A live chat service is operated by RFPL staff on the site during library hours, and our phone number is displayed on every page. So, if you don’t find what you are looking for quickly, just ask us and a staff member will provide timely, responsive service.
