Catherine A. Cullen, 91, who lived in the Oak Park area for 61 years, died on Nov. 25, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living. She attended Resurrection High School and Rosary College (now Dominican University) and worked as a legal secretary. She was a Great Books leader and volunteered at West Suburban Hospital and the Ascension Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed bridge, reading, and loved to play the slots.
Catherine Cullen is survived by her children, Thomas, Marybeth (Don) Granholm, Michael (Peggy) Cullen, Christopher (Teresa) Cullen, Maureen Meegan, and Susan (Michael) Quinn; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Cullen.
Visitation was held on Nov. 27 at Peterson-Bassi Chapel with arrangements by Gamboney & Son Funeral Directors, followed by a funeral Mass on Nov. 28 at Ascension Catholic Church, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven.
