With the village board’s recent approval of another Chicago-like structure near Lake and Harlem, Village President Anan Abu-Taleb called the vote a “good night for the village.” Good night, indeed. A good night for the village coffers, yes.
But the village citizenry? How good a night will it be to have an additional 400-500 new residents in that already crowded, congested corner of our village? It really is always all about the $$$.
