Sandra Mae Lopiccolo, 76, an Oak Park and River Forest resident for over 20 years, died on Jan. 22, 2015. Born on Dec. 8, 1938 to the late Charlotte Dennison and late Emil Schally in Brookfield, She was a talented artist, a nature lover, a health nut, an inspired activist, and an avid reader. An inspired and passionate woman, she was kind and intelligent, and lived fully engaged in life. 

Sandy Lopiccolo is survived by her husband, Bill, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a devoted caretaker to her animal companions, and a warm friend. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Feb. 14, 2015 at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle in the Founders Room, in the Thornhill Education Building, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a celebration service at 11 a.m.
