Heide Christina Ebbert-Fraze, 50, of Oak Park, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Dec. 26, 2014. Born on May 29, 1964 in Germany, she obtained B.A. and M. A. degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She enjoyed knitting, reading about archaeology and ancient history, expressing her creativity, and educating others about the challenges of autism.
Heide Ebbert-Fraze is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Katrina, Patrick, Nickolaus, Willem and Alexandra; her parents, Carl Ebbert and Irmgard Muller-Ebbert; her brother, Jon (Charlotte) Ebbert; her half-sister, Cynthia Ebbert; and her “adopted son” and dog, Hadji.
A visitation and funeral service were held on Jan. 1 at Oak Park’s Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
