U.S. News & World Report magazine has included Dominican University in River Forest in its annual list of top 20 Midwest master’s level universities, according to a Dominican news release.
It also ranks the university as a “top value” in the state of Illinois, Best Regional Midwest Universities category.
The school ranking was due in part to its high freshman retention rate of 82 percent and low student-to-faculty ratio of 11 to 1.
“Our impressive U.S. News & World Report rankings, in both overall excellence and affordability categories, attest to Dominican’s commitment to students’ success and persistence,” Dominican President Donna M. Carroll said in the news release. “It is rewarding that this influential publication consistently confirms Dominican’s efforts to provide students with a rigorous academic experience at an affordable price.”
