A River Forest mansion is on the market. Who is selling it? Alleged mob boss Joseph Andriacchi. But you didn’t hear that from us, OK?

Andriacchi, 81, is asking $2.15 million for the four-bedroom, 6,350-square-foot home at 1142 Franklin Avenue.

According to a Tribune report, the realtor for the property, Sherree Krisco of Gagliardo Realty Associates, did not know Andriacchi owns the home. She thought a bank trust owned the mansion.

There was a point when the bank almost owned Andriacchi’s properties, though.

In 2012 the mansion, along with more than 20 of his commercial properties, was the target of foreclosure action by the lender after he stopped making payments on a loan of more than $4 million for which he used the properties as collateral.

After an agreement with the lender, the case was dropped in 2013.

Andriacchi bought the property the home sits on in 1992 for $765,000, then sold the home that already existed on the property — now on the market for $1.399 million — then began building the French Country-style mansion that was completed in 1993.
