On behalf of the children and adults with developmental disabilities served by Oak-Leyden Developmental Services, I would like to publicly thank the Medinas — Robert and Annabel — for letting us host our annual fundraiser at Fuego Loco once again. This year, the event raised over $3,500 for the programs and services Oak-Leyden provides for its clients and their families. We greatly appreciate the generosity of Robert and Annabel, their staff and all of those who either dined in or out on June 10.
We are especially pleased to be welcomed by a local business like Fuego Loco as a demonstration of its commitment to our community. Opportunities such as this help organizations like Oak-Leyden to raise not only needed funds but equally needed public awareness. Businesses and patrons play an important role in helping us achieve our mission to “help children and adults with developmental disabilities meet life’s challenges and reach their highest potential.”
Again, thank you for your support of our annual fundraiser at Fuego Loco. We depend on generous partners in our service area to continue our efforts to ensure that people with developmental disabilities have the supports they need to live fulfilling lives within their communities.
