Oak Park Public Library this month launched “Show Your Love,” a photo contest for everyone who loves to take great photographs. To enter, share your best photos of Oak Park Public Library buildings or their unique architectural details. Three winners – one per library building – will have winning photographs featured in a welcome gift for new library cardholders, coming in September.

All participants will have the chance to have photos featured in future publicity materials, and on Oak Park Public Library’s social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

“The idea for the contest was spurred by the abundance of beautiful photos library users take and share on social media daily,” explains Graphic Designer Tom Deja. “When we see people’s love and appreciation for Oak Park’s library buildings pop up in photos on Instagram or Facebook, we want to be able to thank the photographers and share their photos more widely.”

All submitted photos will be shared for a community vote in early August. So show us what you’ve got! Share your best photos of Dole Branch Library, Main Library, or Maze Branch Library. Submissions must be high resolution, and can be color or black and white, portrait or landscape orientation. To enter, email photo(s) as an attachment, with your name, to photos@oppl.org.

Contest ends July 31. Follow Oak Park Public Library on Facebook for voting details, and read the full rules and submission details at oppl.org/love
