OAK PARK, IL – A mere two days before the March 31 deadline to enroll in quality, affordable health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, Get Covered America-Illinois will host a last-chance enrollment workshop to help Oak Park residents get covered. The enrollment workshop will take place at the YMCA in Oak Park on Saturday, March 29 from 12:30 pm until 4:30 pm.%u200B
In-person assisters will be on hand to provide free help in enrolling those who qualify on the spot. Financial help may be available, as it has been for 77 percent of the Illinoisans who have already enrolled through the Marketplace. Six in ten consumers who are eligible for the Marketplace can find a plan for $100 per month or less.
No appointment is necessary, but attendees should bring Social Security or legal immigrant document numbers, income verification (pay stubs, W-2 form), and any current health insurance information for all household members.
The open enrollment period ends March 31.
