Since early this year, Joe Kreml and Patrick Rollins from the Village of Oak Park have been working with me on a series of videos called “You Really Should Eat This.”

The approach of these videos is that we find one dish at one place in Oak Park that we really like, and we devote 2-3 minutes to discussing the dish, its background, and why you really should eat it.

“You Really Should Eat This” segments featuring Taste of Brasil Café and George’s will screen at the festival this Saturday, November 20. You can watch the Taste of Brasil Cafe segment by clicking the video image.

This festival is notable in that the approach is to serve some of the food that’s shown on screen: Taste of Brasil will be serving some of their feijoada.

The Food Film Festival starts today, November 20, and runs through Saturday night, November 23.
