ZipFit Denim is an amazing new denim resource for men, utilizing predictive algorithm technology, matching men to their ideal pair of jeans based on their size and specific fit preferences.
In 2010, ZipFit began as a concept for Liz Kammel, U of C MBA student, inspired by her male classmates desire to find a great pair of jeans with out having to go shopping.
ZipFit Denim opened its flagship doors on Michigan Avenue in October 2012. They have fit over 1,500 butts and created some happy customers too. All manner of jean cuts & color washes are on hand, including on -trend colored denim. Some of the brands offered include: 7 for all Mankind, Bluelab, Joe’s, Paige, DL1961, Fidelity, Mavi, Earnest Sewn. The software works in 2 ways: men can type in a pair of jeans they wear & like; then in moments the brand, fit & size they entered link them to similar brand of jeans. Clients can also scroll through the pictures of jeans that pop up on screen and compare them before trying them on.
Another option is to fill out an electronic body-profile with size, proportion and how they like jeans to fit. At this point, jeans magically appear on screen linking the client’s requirements – genius.
The brand will open a second Chicagoland location at Schaumburg’s Woodfield Mall this Spring, as well as expand its e-commerce presence. They are currently seeking an experienced retail store manager to lead a new team of fit experts for the new location. Oh ya, did I mention that alteration, hemming and shipping are all included? Liz & her COO Katie have a much needed concept store & online convenience just 20 minutes from Oak Park; I highly suggest all Gents in need of new jeans, head on down to ZipFit today; 3/f of the Nordstrom mall.
