The OPRF boys golf team couldn’t be playing better as they prepare for the upcoming playoffs.
The Huskies took first at the 15-team St. Rita Invitational at Glenwoodie Golf Course on Saturday. Pat Cusack and Matt Weintrob finished first and second respectively overall. Cusack shot a 78, while Weintrob posted a 79. Dan Wojtak finished with an 83, good for eighth overall.
The Huskies closed out West Suburban (Silver) Conference play last week by defeating Glenbard West 157-166 at Oak Park Country Club. Cusack led the way with a 37, while Alex Decorrevont finished with a 39. Other top finishers for OPRF included Wojtak (40), Pat Murphy (41), Jon Walsh (42), Joe McKune (45), Connor Toye (47) and John Callahan (48).
The Huskies, who finished the conference dual matches with a record of 4-2, host cross-town rival Fenwick on Thursday (4 p.m.) at Oak Park Country Club.
