Dee Millard is running for re-election to the District 200 school board, and this letter is in her support. The Wainers have been long-time friends and neighbors of the Millards. The Kopelows have known Dee and her husband Tony since two of our children, Erin and Miriam Kopelow, were fortunate enough to go on the OPRF India trips with them – an experience of a lifetime and an opportunity that was a direct result of Dee’s enthusiasm and commitment to the school and community. Because of our children’s experience, we also travelled to India with Dee and Tony. Travelling with someone reveals their true character, and Dee is caring, capable, organized, open-minded, warm and enthusiastic.
It has been our privilege to know Dee. We supported her campaign when she first ran for the school board, and fully support her this second time. She has been a fair and rational voice on the board, looking at each issue carefully and coming to a balanced conclusion. She supports ideas and programs to enhance learning opportunities for all students – students from the entire spectrum of academic performance. She continues to promote innovative ideas regarding outside academic partnerships and initiatives for OPRF. Her goal is to be a careful steward of all that makes OPRF the great school that it is, but also to look to the future so that all of our students can be assured of an excellent, rich, and robust education for years to come.
